Mr. W. J. Reeves has been elected marshal at Bremen.

(TRP Note: The following appears immediately after the notice concerning W. J. Reeves, but it's not clear who Bill Reeves is)
There was a shooting spree at Bremen last week in which lawyer McDonald shot Bill Reeves in the arm, inflicting a painful and serious wound. Reeves went to the house after being wounded and secured a shotgun and would doubtless have renewed the battle had his brave mother not seized the gun and fired both barrels in the air.

Four or five years since Dr. Parker of Bremen stocked a fish pond with a few carp. The dam broke and the fish went to Mr. W. J. Reeve's mill pond just below. Occasionally very fine carp have been hoisted therefrom, but the biggest one yet was taken out of the wheel after the pond was let off Saturday. It weighed twelve pounds.

Research Notes

William Arthur Reeves, formerly thought to be a son, is actually listed as a grandson on the 1900 census. The 1900 census indicates that Mandy had a total of six children, five living at the time.
