Research Notes
There is currently no documentation of the middle name "Smith". In all primary source records currently found, his name is recorded as simply William S. Reeves but never an explanation of what the S represents. Since research of this family has established that his grandmother Hannah was mistakenly identified as Hannah Smith in the Reeves Review II, the theory that his middle name was Smith was based upon that incorrect assumption.Sources
