John wrote his will on 27 Feb 1670/1 and it was probated 16 Jun 1671. In his will, he refers to:

• Mary my loving wife
• my tow sonns that is to saye my sonn John Reve and Ollevere Reve

The probate indicates he was of Tolleshunt Major.

Research Notes

The will of Oliver Reeve of Bradwell-juxta-Mare, written in 1682, appears to refer to this John as a kinsman. He mentions "my loveing kinswoman the daughter of John Reeve deceased late of Tolson Beckingham in Essex." Beckingham is the same as Tolleshunt Major. That Oliver had his first child as early as 1676. John states in his will that his children John and Oliver were under 21. So it's feasible that Oliver of Bradwell-juxta-Mare was his son. However that Oliver also referred to an "Oliver Reeve the sone of John Reeve" in his will, which indicates there were multiple Olivers in this family.
