In his will dated Mch. 15, 1794, and proved July, 1794, in Richland co. S. C, he divided his estate "between my Mother Hannah Rives, my Brother Simon and Thomas Rives and my Neise Priscilla Dupree the Daughter of Reed and Polly Dupree, his brothers being appointed executors. The will was witnessed by Sterling J. C. Williamson,
R. Hendrick, and Timothy Rives.
