Luther Green‘ Rives, who was educated in the country schools, has been active in the Presbyterian Church, of which he is an elder, and in the temperance movement in his county. He is an alderman of Petersburg, Tennessee, where he makes his home, and where he is associated with the firm of Tate Brothers in the mercantile business.
