Jonathan Reeves originally joined our community some six years ago. He has recently found more time for the pursuit of his family roots and has now kindly volunteered to serve as coordinate for DNA Group 10. Beverly and I have been working with Jonathan over the past few weeks to refresh the DNA Group 10 pages and he has some further ideas, which I'll leave him to explain ...DNA Group 10 - Update
from Jonathan ReevesResearch of Group 10 lines and ancestors has been progressing rapidly over this summer. I have worked closely with Beverly to identify some of the missing lines for testers and enter them on the site in preparation for taking on the role of Group 10 Coordinator. I am quite impressed with the opportunities The Reeves Project offers in terms of collaboration in research and organization of material.
We have recently completely refreshed the Home Page For Group 10 with some statistical information about our markers and what they may indicate along with identifiable Family Groups within Group 10. My hope is that this page will be an easy aid in knowing who falls within Group 10 and what lines could use expanding and further research. Feedback is welcome and we continue to discuss ways to easily denote what information within TRP may relate to Group 10.
As the Coordinator for Group 10, I would ask that our members renew efforts to expand and create pages for the known families within Group 10. I am also aiming to transcribe deeds and other material related to Group 10 ancestors and get them on the site in the near future. If you have records you are willing to pass along which relate to Group 10 ancestors, I will do my best to transcribe them and get them on the site. Finally, know that I look forward to working with TRP members in researching our ancestors. Feel free to reach out with ideas for research and collaboration via our DNA Groups talk page.
