In the name of God Amen: I Mary Hampton, of the parish of Great Warley in the County of Essex Widdow Being sick of Body but of sound & disposing memory praise be given to God for the same, doe make this my Last Will & Testament in manner & forme following, that is to say first & principally I resigne my Soul into the mercifull hands of Allmighty God my Creator assuredly hopeing through the merits of my blessed saviour to obtaine remission of all my sinns, & my body I comitt to ye Earth whence it was taken to be decently buryed by ye discretion of my executors hereinafter named; And as for ye worldly Goods & estate the Lord hath lent mee I dispose thereof as follows:
Imprimis I give & bequeath unto my two sonnes Theophilus Hampton & George Hampton all my right title & interest that I have in an estate lyeing & being att More ?and in the parish of old Sandford in ye said County of Essex, & allsoe all my right title & interest that I have in an estate lyeing & being in the parish of East Hornedon called Skrimers? to be equally devided betweene them & if it should soe happen that either of the said Brothers should dye before ye other without lawfull issue then my will is that the surviving Brother shall enjoy all & every ptt and pcell of the said lands & tenements to him & his heirs for ever. And all the rest & residue of my estate Goods & chattells not hereinbefore bequeathed after my debts & funerall expences discharged I give & bequeath unto my said two sonnes share & share alike whome I doe make executors of this my last Will & Testament & my Will is that William Burton of London Gent & my Cozn Jno Reeve of Childerditch Gent be overseers of the same: Revokeing all other wills by me heretofore made; In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this 13th day of February 1690/1
