In the name of God Amen, I William Reeve of the township of Union in the County of Essex and State of new Jersey being in health in the full exercise of Reason do make and publish this my last will and testament in Manner and form following, that is to say, First I Give and beqeuath to my beloved wife Mary Reeve at her own disposal forever to fether beds and beding to be chosen and made up by herself, Likewise all the linen and cloth that may be in the house at the time of my decease with all the tea equipage together with my cupboard and large looking glass and two good cows - Moreover I Give and bequeath to my Beloved wife Mary Dureing the time she remains my widow the one half of this my Dwelling house with both chamber and seller, likewise one horse my riding chair the use of the chare house my eight day clock and all the articles of kitchen and other furniture about the house that she may want for use, likewise as much grane and meet as shall be necessary for the famyly for one yearAlso I Give and bequeath to my son Gilbert Reeve one equal fourth part of All that tract or parcel of land called the Mountain lot bounding on the road and running on the slope of the mountain containing about sixty one acres more or less likewise I give to my said son Gilbert one equal forth part of all my lot of wood land at northfield containing about fifty two acres
I Give both the above sd parts of parcels of land to him and to his heirs and assigns forever, Likewise I Give and bequeath to my son Walter S Reeve one equal forth part of the Above sd lots or parcels of land viz the mountain lot and the northfield lot I Give it to him and to his heirs and assigns forever
Moreover I Give and Bequeath to my two sons Daniel Reeve and William D Reeve each one equal fourth part of the two above sd lots or parcels of land I Give it to them and to their heirs and assigns forever
Moreover I Give and bequeath to my son William D Reeve the lot on which my buildings stand including all the building, and lot south of the River northeast of the road sopose about eight acres more or less, and the remainder of the homested lying from of the house south west of the road together with the lot south of the turnpike I give to my two sons Daniel Reeve and William D Reeve to be Divided Equally between them and whereas I have a firm title for the lot which my father Devised in his will to Watts Reeve dureing his life and the life of his Widow I do Give the said lot to my two sons Daniel Reeve and Wiliam D Reeve and I order and Direct that they pay to the widow Lois Reeve yearly in produce to the amount of fifteen Dollars as long as she remains the widow of Watts Reeve and no longer.
I also Give and bequeath to my two sons Gilbert and Walter S Reeve my six acre lot which I purchased of Aaron Wand to be Devided Equally between them, I also Give to my son Gilbert two hundred dollars to be credited on his bond. Moreover I Give to my four sons Gilbert Walter S Daniel and William D Reeve all my salt meadow equally among them. I also give to my son Uzal Reeve the use of my house and lot In Elizabethtown together with the shop and all the appurtenances belonging to sd lot during his life and the life of any widow he may leave while she may remain his widow but after his death and the death or marryage of his widow I order and direct that the said lot and buildings be sold and the moneys arising from such sale be divided between all the children equally - which he may leave, Likewise I give to my Daughter Hannah Sayre one hundred Dollarrs to be paid to her in the two years after my Decease I also give to my Daughter Phebe Reeve one hundred and fifty Dollars to be paid to her in one year after my decease.
Moreover I give to my Daughter Mary Willis the interst of sixty ive dollars to be paid into her hands yearly during her life and at her diseace I direct that the principal be paid and devided amongst her children equaly if any she should leave, but if there be none of her children living then the sd legece to remain in the residue of the estate.
Also I give to my Daughter Sophiah Pierson the sum of sixty Dollars to be paid to her in two years After my Decease. Moreover, I Give to my Daughter Nancy and Fanny N? Reeve Each the sum of one hundred and fifty Dollars to be paid to them in one year or at the tie of their marryage,
I Likewise order and direct that my Daughter Hannahs son John Hervy be maintained and schooled out of this my home estate and if he attaine to the age of twentyone I Give him fifty dollars and whear as my estate is considerably in debt I do order and direct that so much of my moveable estate be sold as shall be found necessary (together with my sons bonds) to pay all my just debts
And further I give and devise to my two sons Daniel and William D Reeve all the residue of my estate wheresoever or howsoever situated and I order them my sons Daniel and William to pay all the above legeces and all the debts (with the assistance of all the obligations in any favor) and lastly I do hereby nominate appoint and constitute my three sons Walter S Reeve Daniel Reeve and William D Reeve executors of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twentyeth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two 1822

Essex County SS: Philomen Dickinson one of the witnesses to the within will named being duly sworn saith that he saw William Reeve the testator therein named sign & seal the same & heard him publish pronounce & declare the same to be his last will & Testament that at the doing thereof he was of sound and disposing mind & memory as far as he knows & as he verily believes; that Jas Henderson & Jas B Handerson the other subscribing evidences were present at the same time and singed their names as witnesses thereto together with this deponent in the presence of the sd testator and that the said testator died more than ten days ago.
