Transcript

Whereas Joseph Reeves Junior late of the County of Salem and State of New Jersey became seized in fee simple in and to a certain plantation and tract of land situate in the township of Mannington in said County and the said Joseph Reeves Jun having died without a will and intestate by reason whereof the said real estate descended to the heirs of at law of said deceased as tenants in common any whereas after the payments of the just debts and expences of said deceased a large portion of the paid real estate remained unsold and vested in the heirs aforesaid and upon application being made to the judges of the orphans court of the County of Salem of the term of December Eighteen hundred and twenty five by Biddle Reeve one of the heirs at law of the said deceased as followeth. To the Judges of the orphans Court in and for the County of Salem the petition of Biddle Reeves one of the heirs of Joseph Reeves Junr decd Humbly sheweth
That your Petitioner together with the heirs of Thomas Reeves decd the heirs of Mary Groff deceased the heirs of Clement Reeves deceased Ann Moffit late Ann Reeves Sarah Smith late Reeves Elizabeth Mulford late Reeves are heirs of Joseph Reeves late of the County of Salem deceased who died intestate and without a will seized of real estate in the County of Salem which has now descended to the said heirs who now hold the same undivided and as tenants in common and by reason of the minority of some of the said heirs no division by agreement can be made your petition therefore prays that the court would decree a division of all the real estate of the said Joseph Reeves deceased in the County of Salem by metes and bound? be held in severalty and in manner prescribed by law
