Transcript

I Lucy Reeve of Broomwell Cottage of the hamlet of Brentwood parish of Southweald in the County of Essex widow being at the present time in the full possession of my mental faculties and in tolerable bodily health yet knowing the uncertainty of life and wishing that when my time here is ended my affairs be in a ?lar and proper state to prevent any confusion that might arise from that being otherwise
I will that after my death my just debts be paid and my funeral expenses settled from the property of which I may at that time be possessed and that the whole of what remains whether in money or other wise be equally divided among my three children Lucy Gordon James Reeve and Phoebe Taylor or in case of the decease of either of these my children I will that their parts go to their respective husbands Alexander Gordon James Taylor and in case of the decease of my son that his part go to his wife and family should either of my children above named wish that any article of plate linen furniture clothes &c be retained by them I will that they retain such with the consent of the others and that the value of such be received as part of the share which would fall to them I leave it ? at the disposal of my children to dispose of the furniture &c belonging to me at the time of my decease in any way that may deemed most advisable by them all or the majority of them
