• James Reeve of the Parish of Kelvedon Hatch in this County Bachelor & Lucy Moss of this Parish Spinster were married in this church by license this twenty first Day of December in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and two by me F J H Wollaston Vicar, In presence of Mary Ann Moss, Ann Moss

From the Kelvedon Hatch, St. Nicholas Parish Register:

• Lucy Daughter of James & Lucy Reeve was Born December 1st 1803 and Christened March 27th 1804 Registered same day by me Ambrose Serle Rector
• James son of James & Lucy Reeve was Born 6th February 1806 and Christened 1st April 1806 Registered by me George Chandler Curate

William Reeve of Blackmore names "my Brother James Reeve of Kelveton Hatch in the said County of Essex farmer" in his will dated 21 Feb 1809.

The will of James's widow Lucy names "my three children Lucy Gordon James Reeve and Phoebe Taylor" and for the daughters "their respective husbands Alexander Gordon James Taylor."
