Know all men by these Presents that I Bethena Reeves of Pleasant Hill Township in the County of Lancaster and State of South Carolina for and consideration of having for years been cared for and provided for by my son Thos J Reeves of a promise from him that he will take care of my as long as I live, of the sum of $150.00 to me in hand paid have granted, bargained, sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto Thos J Reeves of the above County and State, all that parcel or tract of land lying on the head waters of Little Lynches Creek in Pleasant Hill Township, Lancaster County, State of South Carolina, bounded by lands of M. H. Johnson, Sarah Hanmmond, T. J. And W. A. Marshall and others.
With all the appurtenances, and all the right, title, interest, claim and demand of me in the premises, to have and to hold the same with the appurtenances unto the said Thos J Reeves his heirs in fee simply forever and that I the said Bethena Reeves, will, do warrant and defend, the said premises with the appurtenances unto the said T J Reeves his heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony Whereof, I have set my hand and seal this the 8 day of March 1884, in the year of our Lord 1884

Ellis in the presence of each other, witnessed the due execution thereof.
