Narrative

Very little is known of Lucy Geer Shering beyond the mentions of her in the probate documents of her grandfather William Reeves' estate in Madison County, Kentucky where all the children of Sarah Reeves Geer are named in an 1822 Power of Attorney to her brother Jesse B. Geer which is signed by all of Sarah's heirs.

She is known to have died before 2 June 1837 when her father Frederick Geer wrote his will for she is not named in the document. Since no children of Lucy's are named in that will, it can be assumed that she left no heirs.
