DROWNED IN A WELL.
MIDDLETOWN, N. Y., Oct. 31 - Daniel Reeve, a well-known farmer of the Town of Wawayanda, Orange County, was found dead late last night, lying on his face, at the bottom of a well 12 feet deep, in which there was a foot of water. It is supposed he fell in during an attack of apoplexy. He was 65 years of age.

Middletown Times-Press, 22 May 1893
Mrs. Ruth Ann Reeve.
Mrs Ruth Ann Reeve, widow of Daniel Reeve, one of the aged women of the town of Wawayanda, died Sunday afternoon near Dolsontown. Her age was 83. The determinating cause was apoplexy.
Mr. Reeve died suddenly, it will be remembered, in October, 1878. The deceased had also been called to see three of her children taken from her, Daniel C. Reeve, who was a practicing lawyer in Middletown, and Valentine H. Reeve, both of whom died after reaching manhood, another died in infancy.
The two children who survive, are Miss Martha J. Reeve, who had assumed charge of the farm and with whom the mother resided, and Mrs Ruth, wife of Edward Silk, of this city. The latter, Mr. and Mrs. Silk, spent the winter in Florida, but they will reach home in time for the funeral.
Deceased was one of the oldest members of the Second Presbyterian Church, and the pastor, Rev. Charles Beattie will conduct the services, which occur Wednesday at 11 o’clock at her late residence, and then the body will be carefully laid to rest in Hillside cemetery beside those of husband and children.
