Edgar's WWII Draft Card states he was born 1 May 1880 in Blackmore, Essex, England. Note this is about five years off according to census records and headstone which state 1875. He was residing in Madison, South Dakota. Described as white, 5' 6" tall, blue eyes, gray hair, weight 145.

Headstone states he was born 1875 and died 1969.
