"Ely" Reeve Jr. and a Nathaniel Reeve Jr. appear as privates in the Ulster County Militia, Second Regiment during the Revolutionary War under Col. James McClaghry. He appears on a payroll under from 1778 under Capt Benjamin Veal.
He may have had another son with Mary Fox. There are four white males under 16 in his household in 1790.
His 1813 will names "my loving wife Mary," "my two sons George Fox Reeve and Elijah Concklin Reeve," "my son Gabiel," and "my daughter Fanny Newkirk." His will states he was of Deerpark in Orange County. He was already living in Deerpark in 1800 when he mortgaged some property. The mortgage mentions his wife Mary.
