An analysis of deed records reveals his wife's name was Elizabeth.

He was buried in the New Vernon Cemetery in Mamakating Park, Sullivan County, New York. His headstone refers to him as "Jr." with date of death is given as 18 Jul 1850 and birth as 30 Oct 1782. His wife and some of his family appears to be living in Mt. Hope, Orange County, in 1850. His wife Elizabeth was also buried at New Vernon. It states she died at New Vernon 5 Jan 1855, and was born 10 Jul 1787.
