The above children are listed in the Eliphaz Perkins Family Bible.
In a 1796 deed, the "children and heirs at law of Benjamin Clark late of the Township of Trenton in the County of Hunterdon" sold some land to Daniel Clark Sr. Among these were "Elizabeth Reeves widow and Relict of Simon R Reeve late Elizabeth Clark John Reeve and Anne his wife late Anne Clark."
In 1802, John Reeve of Montgomery Township, Somerset County, New Jersey appointed John Addoms of Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York as his attorney to sell land for him.
The Camden Mail and General Advertiser reported this brief notice of his death on Wednesday, 9 Jul 1834:
23d ult. near Rocky Hill, Somerset co. Dr. John Reeve, aged 69.
The will of John Reeves names his son-in-law Henry Perkins husband of Eliza Ann which confirms this is the same John Reeve whose children are listed in the Eliphaz Perkins Family Bible. The will also states that his present wife Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Blackwell.
