Joseph's will states he was of Moulsham in the parish of Chelmsford, Essex. These baptisms appear to be for his children at Chelmsford, although the mother is not named:

• Reeve | Mary daughter of Joseph of the hamlet of Moulsham yeoman bapt Sept ye 16 (1733)
• Reeve Martha, Daughter of Joseph Reeve Husbandman in Moulsham baptized Mar 25th (1739)
• Reeve, William son of Joseph Reeve, yeoman of Moulsham was baptised July ye 15th (1741)
• Reeve | John the son of Joseph Reeve a Husbandman at Moulsham Common was baptized 7 May 1746
• Reeve | Elizabeth the Daughter of Joseph Reeve of Moulsham, Miller, was Baptized March 13th 1747
• Reve | Sarah the Daughter of Joseph Reeve of Gallard Common in this Parish yeoman was Baptized Jany 31st 1749

In his will, Joseph mentions:

The probate for Love states "Testatrix died in the Parish within metioned 15 Sep last," the probate being in Oct 1784.

Research Notes

Oddly, neither the will of Joseph nor his widow Love mention their son William, who outlived them both. William's will clearly establishes he is their son as he names all his siblings and mentions his mother the widow Love Reeve.
