Puryer's name is spelled numerous ways including "Purriah" in his father's will and "Puryer" in his brother Hezekiah's will. The Salmon Records note that "Purrier" Reeve & Mary L'homedieu were married 18 Feb, the year possibly being 1752.

He is listed as Perrier Reeve in the 1776 census of Suffolk County, living in Southold.
Puryer's will is dated 25 Nov 1782 and names: wife Mary, children Hezekiah, Mehetabel, Pyryer, Isaac, Selah, Mary Fanning, and nephew (niece) Sarah Lhomedieu. His borther-in-law Benjamin Lhomedieu and wife Mary were executors.
Puryer appears to be buried in the Aquebogue Cemetery, Aquebogue, Suffolk County, New York. However, the marker appears to have been placed much later and indicates he was 101 years of age at death, which is not possible.
