According to the census records, the births of the older children took place in Pennsylvania. Richard Reeve(s) appears in the Luzerne Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania census for 1790 and 1800 with numbers in the household that fit what would be expected for this Richard's family.

Richard and Elizabeth lived in Athens County, Ohio in the 1810's. Meigs County was formed in part from Athens County in 1819 and the family appears in Meigs County records thereafter.

Richard is buried in the Woodyard Cemetery in Athens County, Ohio. The transcription of the family Bible states he died the 13 May 1846. His headstone states he died 19 May 1846. The transcription may be in error here.
