In 1851, Thomas was listed as age 63, born Belchamp Otten, living in the household of his son George Reeve along with George's wife Caroline and their children Susan (5) and William (2).

In 1861, he was listed as age 76, born Belchamp Otten, living in Belchamp Otton. With him is the family of his son Robert.

Since Thomas's son Robert is stated to be a cousin of Charles Reeve, the son of Joseph Reeve, it would appear that Thomas and Joseph Reeve were brothers.
