William Reeve, the son of George Reeve and his wife Sarah was baptized on 05 December 1813 at the Parish Church of St Andrew, Belchamp St Paul, Essex. The baptismal register notes William was born on 18 November 1813.William Reeve and Susan Wadley were married at the Parish Church of St Andrew , Belcham St Paul on 03 November 1836. Both are described as being "of this parish".

On the 1841, Census William was 28 and living in Stoke by Clare with his wife Susan and daughters Maria (3) and Emma (1). Also living with him was his brother Hayden Reeve (20).
At the time of the 1851 Census, William and his family are enumerated with the surname REEV (sic) and are living in Stoke (by Clare), Suffolk . William's age is recorded as being 29 (sic) and he claims birth in Belchamp St Pauls, Essex. His wife Susan (40, born Belcham St Paul) and children Marrian (sic Maria, 12, born Cavendish, Suffolk), Emmer (sic Emma, 11), Elizabeth (7), Robert (5) and Louisa(3) complete the household. The young children were all born in Stoke, Suffolk
On the 1861, Census William was 47 and living on Paraman Street, Gestingthorpe, Essex with his wife Susan and children Emma (22), Elizabeth (21) and Louisa (14). Also resident were two of his grand children Edward (1) and Rhoda (1). William was working as a Tailor.
On the 1871, Census William was 53 and living at the Beer Shop on Hundon Street, Hundon, Hertfordshire with his wife Susan and children Robert (24) and Amelia (19). William and his wife were working as Beer Sellers.
On the 1881, Census William was 60 and lived with his wife Susan at the Turkey Cock on Acorn Street, Hundon, Ware, Hertfordshire. Occupation Beerhouse Keeper.
On the 1891 Census, William was 70 and widowed living on Standon Street, Standon, Hertfordshire. He was recorded as a pauper. His wife Susan had passed away o 17 April 1889.
William died on 28 March 1901 at Church Farm, Pitstone, Buckinghamshire. His daughter in law Elizabeth was with him and witnessed the death.
