In 1851, George, age 46, born in Rayleigh, was living in Colchester, St. Leonard in Essex. With him are wife Sarah (37) and children Emma (13), James E (12), George (10), Elizabeth (8), Ann J. (6), Charlotte S. (5), and Eliza H. (3).

In 1861, George, age 56, a journeyman butcher born in Rayleigh, was living in Colchester, St. Mary Magdalen. With him are wife Sarah (40) and children Emma (23), James (22), George (19), Anne (16), Elizabeth (18), Sarah (15), and Hepzibah (12).

In 1871, George, age 66, a journeyman butcher born in Rayleigh, was living in St. Botolph, Essex, with wife Sarah (55), daughter Jane Malone (26), daughter Sarah Everett (25), and grandchildren Sarah Malone (5), Henry Malone (3), and William Everett (5).

George's death is registered in 2q 1874, in Colchester, age 70.
