Narrative
Augustine Smith of St. Mark's Parish deed to George Reeves of South Farnham Parish, planter, for consideration paid by Peter Byrom, deceased, of South Farnham Parish, said Byrom selling said land to Henry Reeves, deceased, who by his will devised the same to his son George Reeves, on the south side of the Rappahanock River about four miles above the falls in Spotsylvania County. Witnessed by Tho. Reeves, Thomas Hill and John Leigh on May 29, 1731.Thomas Smith of Prince William County deeded to George Reeves of South Farnham Parish, Essex County for 12 currency, 50 acres of land. Witnessed by Jos. Reeves, Tho. Reeves, and Kezia Wise, Spotsylvania County on Oct. 2, 1739.
No wife or children were named in George Reeves' 1753 will, legacies were to his nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.
