Probable children of Green Reeves and second wife, Mary (Polly) Gibson:

1. James Green Reeves, b. 1833
2. Benjamin Reeves, b. 1835

It is apparent from census records that Green Reeves' first wife died between 1830 and 1840 as his wife in the 1830 census was aged 40-49 while in the 1840 census his wife is aged 30-39.

Initial research suggested Green was likely born in Georgia, but it is now felt North Carolina is more probable. (Un-sourced)

Research Notes

(1) Estimated DOB from 1830 census, where there is one male in the age range 40-50 in his household.
1880 census of his daughter Mary Ann Reeves of Claiborne Parish, LA (This second sentence needs a fuller explanation as to how it supports DoB estimate for Green, please)

There was a Green B. Reeves in Butts County who was formerly thought to possibly be the same individual as this Green. However, it appears he left a widow named Nancy and children George, Martha, and James which don't match this individual.
