Green B. Reeves was "of Butts County" in 1831 when he was deeded some land there. Butts is the county to the west of Jasper.

WHEREAS, George L. Thompson applies to me for Letters of Administration on the estate of Green B. Reeves, late of said county, deceased.
These are therefore to cite and admonish all and singular the kindred and creditors of said deceased to be and appear at my office within the time prescribed by law to show cause of any they can why said letters should not be granted.
Given under my hand at office this 17th day of October, 1836. JOHN McCORD, C.C.O.

The administration bond is dated 17 Nov 1836 in which George L. Thompson was named administrator for Green B. Reeves, late of Butts County, Georgia.

Besides the administrator George L. Thompson, a Nancy A. Reeves, Jasper Reeves, James Curry, William Wilson, E. W. Lane, E. Hilman, John Goodman, and others were buyers at the estate. Nancy A. Reeves appears to be the widow and is named in the yearly returns through 1845 at least. The yearly return for 1846 mentions money paid to Martha M. Reeves, to Dr. Hendrick for James T. Reeves, H R. Miller for George L. Reeves. In 1852, R. M. Gremmet/Grimmett received money in payment for his wife's share of the estate. M. M. Gremmet signed with him, so this was presumably Martha M. Reeves referred to previously. James T. Reeves also received money for his share of the estate. George L. Reeves is listed in the annual return for 1853.

Research Notes

A Jasper Reeves is mentioned in the estate sale. This may have been Jasper Newton Reeves, who was also of Butts County, perhaps a younger brother.

This Green B. Reeves had formerly been confused with Green Reeves of Jasper County.
