Narrative

Children of Green Reeves and first wife, unknown Lively:
  1. Mary Ann Reeves, b. 10 Aug 1810
Probable children of Green Reeves and second wife, Mary (Polly) Gibson:
  1. James Green Reeves, b. 1833
  2. Benjamin Reeves, b. 1835
It is apparent from census records that Green Reeves' first wife died between 1830 and 1840 as his wife in the 1830 census was aged 40-49 while in the 1840 census his wife is aged 30-39.

The GA Land Lottery Papers 1805-1914: p.230: Meriwether County:
Lot 862-2--3 Cherokee. Green Reeves appts John Haynes of Jasper Co. as att'y to claim lot drawn by Green Reeves and the lot drawn by Polly Gibson, now the wife of Green Reeves, both formerly of Jasper Co. Signed: Green Reeves (by mark) bef Wm. C. Roper, J.P., 1 Feb 1843.
No. 1168-2-3 Green Reeves 364 jasper; No. 862-20-3 Polly Gibson, wid., Phillips, Jasper.

This would appear to be the Green B. Reeves who was "of Butts County" in 1831 when he was deeded some land there. Butts is the county to the west of Jasper.
