There is no proof of a family connection between Isaac Reeves and the family of Samuel Reeves other than their appearance in Lincoln County, Tennessee at the same time and in the same community. Malachi Reeves, William Reeves and Isaac Reeves, were all living on Kelly's Creek, a branch of the Elk River in Lincoln County, Tennessee around 1818. Malachi and William Reeves are named as sons of Samuel Reeves in his Revolutionary War pension application filed on 20 Sep 1819 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. It may be that the family connection to Isaac is somewhat more distant but they all appear to be descended from William Reeves of Granville County, NC.

Isaac Reeves bought 18 hogs at the sale of the estate of Alexander White, Sr., deceased in Lincoln County, Tennessee on May 29, 1815.

Isaac left Lincoln County, Tennessee around 1819 and moved to Lawrence County, Alabama until around 1840. About 1845 Isaac moved to Itawamba County, Mississippi where he is recorded in the 1850 census. It was there he died on 25 Aug. 1858. His death is recorded in The Diary of Henry Jackson Lentz, (1819-1869) of Limestone County, Alabama, and Itawamba County, Mississippi, covering the years 1847-1869, page 31. The manuscript is on microfilm and held by the Northeast Mississippi Historical & Genealogical Society. Source: Research of Beverly Reeves Conolly.
