Two unnamed daughters are said to have died very young.

Jeremiah Reeves, Jr. like his father, was a Baptist minister. His brothers Malachi, James and John were ministers as well.

From the HISTORY OF ECHOLS FAMILY by Milner Echols in 1850:

"James Echols second daughter named Mary Echols, married Jeremiah Reeves. They had five sons and four daughters. One of the daughters died young and another fell into the spring and drowned. Their first son Absolom Echols Reeves, who lives at Rome married Elisa Tyas, by her had one daughter who died at about the time she was twenty years old while she was attending Association in Chattanooga County. John N. Reeves, their second son, never married, lives in Augusta. Jeremiah Reeves, their third son, married at about 40 years of age, lives in Walker County. Their fourth son, James M. Reeves, never married. Joseph Reeves, their fifth son, married a Miss Hodge and lives in Chattanooga in Tennessee and keeps a tavern in that town. Jeremiah Reeves first daughter, Leah, married Samuel Neblick (sic), lives in Jackson County, Georgia. I know nothing of their families. Their second daughter Elisa married Ben Powell. I know nothing of their family, only they have one son named Evans Powell."

Jeremiah Reeves place of death is listed in numerous sites as Hancock, Georgia but there is currently no record available to support that.
