Research Notes
In the course of the Study of the Reeves families of Southold, Long Island, New York, Wesley L. Baker's research notes list a large amount of inferential data that would support Walter Reeves and Mary Burt also of the hamlet Cutchogue as having been the parents of Jonathan Reeves. Page 350 of that publication and the attached notes concerning Jonathan Reeves and his son Abimiel K. Reeves detail their findings. This is probably the Jonathan listed in Shelter Island in 1800.
