A transcription of the Southold Pres Church records indicate the following:

• 1812 2 Aug. Orin Reeves to Miss Betsey Tuthill, both of Southold.

However, this appears to be a misreading as it appears in a book that focuses on marriages from the 1830s forward.

His wife Betsey died 20 Oct 1857.

At Greenpoint, L. I., Mrs. Betsey Maria, wife of Orrin Reeve, aged 48.

In 1860, he was in the household of Elizabeth Penny several doors down from his brother Abimiel K. Reeves. A Susan Reeve, age 30, was with him, apparently his second wife. The The Brooklyn Union newspaper on 2 Oct 1871 mentions a divorce case entitled "Susan J. Reeves vs. Orin Reeves." The basis of the divorce was adultery.

The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Reeves, widow of the late Orrin Reeves, of Greenport, took place yesterday, and the interment was in Green Hill Cemetery.
