Narrative
Joseph Reeves had 200 acres of land surveyed for him in Burke County in 1792. He received a grant for land in Washington County, Georgia in 1792. As Joseph Reaves of Burke County, he sold this land in 1801. He is listed in the 1798 Tax Digest for Burke County along with two William Reeves's and two George Reeves's. Since he apparently lived in Burke County, there is a possibility he is connected to the family of Spious Reeves, the main other Reeves family in Burke County.Research Notes
