Nancy's home in the 1850 census also included the following children Ervin Yeargan, age 9, Vester Stephens, age 5, and
Isaac Stephens, age 1, who may have been her grandchildren.

The 1840 census of Jackson County, Alabama which borders DeKalb County lists a Nancy Reeves as head of a household which contains children whose ages are consistent with those listed in Nancy's 1850 household plus several older children who would have probably married prior to the 1850 census.

Nancy's residence in the 1850 census was the next residence to that of Stephen Reeves and was only a few residences from that of William Reeves both of whom are consistent in age with the older male children in her 1840 household.
