On the 10th of November 1840, Nancy Caroline Reeves deeded her interest in her father John Reeves' land in Wake County as well as her interest in the estate of her grandfather Major Holloway to her uncle James Holloway who had been the guardian of the minor Reeves' children. Recorded on 19 Jan 1841 at Wake County Deed Book 14, Pg 246.

After the death of her sister Martha Ann Reeves, widower Granderson Latta married Nancy Caroline Reeves. They are listed in the 1850 census for Granville County, North Carolina but shortly thereafter migrate to White County, Arkansas where Granderson Latta died in 1863.
