In 1817, Nathan Reeves of Lyons, Ontario County, New York sold some land to Samuel B. Reeves and Harmon Reeves. This was a section of a "lot of land Nathan Reeves now lives on." a James Reeves witnessed the deed. Another deed was recorded immediately after this 1817 deed, dated 11 Mar 1803, in which Nathan Reve Jr. bought land from Olver and Benjamin Clark. It would seem this is the same land later conveyed in the 1817 deed.

In 1825, Samuel B. Reeves and Harmon Reeves deeded Nathan Reeves Junr and his wife Ruth some land in Arcadia.

In the 1830 census, Samuel B. Reeves was listed next to Harmon Reeves in Arcadia, New York. There is an older and younger couple in Harmon's household.

In 1840, he is listed next to Ruth Reeves in Arcadia. Ruth appears to be the woman of the older couple under the Harmon Reeves household in 1830.

Given theses associations it's likely Nathan Reeves Jr. and Ruth were the parents of this Samuel B. Reeves and Harmon Reeves. And additionally would indicate Nathan Jr. died between 1830 and 1840.

Samuel B. Reeves died at the residence of his son-in-law, Reeves Welcher, three miles north of Newark, last Sunday. He was one of the oldest settlers of the town. His funeral took place on Tuesday.

The Peirson Family in Wayne County, New York states the following on a section concerning his daughter Calista Reeves Peirson:

Samuel B. Reeves, her father, was born Nov. 23, 1795, and married Sally Harding, who was born Sept. 20, 1798 and died Oct. 23, 1870. They were married Feb. 6, 1817. Mr. Reeves died Dec. 28, 1879. Louisa Reeves was born June 13, 1818, married Hiram Welcher Oct. 18, 1837. Calista Reeves was born May 15, 1820 and married Henry R. Peirson April 23, 1840. Orpha Reeves was born Aug. 16, 1821. She was unmarried and died April 10, 1871. "Every day is a little life, and our whole life is a day repeated."
