In 1827, Philip Reeves, at the time of New York City, sold some land to Shadrach, at the time of Southampton. The deed misspells his name as "Shadriah." This seems to indicate he could have been part of the Southampton Reeves family.

Shadrach Reeves, a boat-builder of New London, was struck in the back, Friday, with great force by a falling log, and was seriously injured.

Typewritten notes included in the Digital Long Island Collection among Mortuary and Bible Records includes the following entry under ''Mortuary Records from Diary of Daniel Hildreth";

• Shadrach Reeves June 26, 1874 (age) 69

Note that this is two days different from what the cemetery transcription supplies.
