At the time of the 1851 census, on 30 March, William and Hannah are living at Marsley, in the parish of Newchurch. The household additionally comprised son William (age 29, unmarried), daughter Mary (24, unmarried), son George 14, and daughters Eleanor (11) and Ann (sic, age 9). William is now recorded as 55 years old and claims birth in Wellow, Wiltshire. At this time West Wellow was in the county of Wiltshire and East Wellow in Hampshire.
William has not been identified on the 1861 census and the IoW Family History Society records in their Index to Death Registrations the death of a William Reeves in 1859, aged 64 years, in the Ryde sub-district, which strongly matches this individual. FreeBMD narrows the date to the fourth quarter of 1859.
