This Indenture made this third day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-four, between Jesse Reeves and Samuel Reeves and Margaret his wife, of the city of New York, of the first part and Edward Reeves, of Southampton, county of Suffolk & state of New York, of the second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twelve dollars money of the state aforesaid to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, All that certain piece or parcel of land lying hear a place called the orchard, bounded West and South by the heirs of Stephen Post; North by Thomas and Hannah Reeves; East by Ebenezer Jessup: To have and to hold to him the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, and we the said party of the first part for ourselves, or heirs, executors, administrators and assigns are lawfully seized of the cause (it being the land which was given to Phillip and Samuel Reeves by their grandfather John Reeves) and will forever warrant and defend the same to him the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of any person whatever claiming the same.
