This is the last Will and Testament of me Frederick Reeves of East Sheen in the County of Surry Esquire I direct all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences to be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease out of my personal estate I direct that my funeral may be of the most private description and that my remains may be deposited in Mortlake Church yard in the vault with my late dear wife I give and bequeath unto my son the Reverend Frederick John Hawkes Reeves all wine spirits table and other linen and all the plate pictures books and other furniture and effects of every description excepting any securities for money in and about my house at East Sheen wherein I now reside to and for his own absolute use and benefit I also give and devise all that my said freehold house at East Sheen wherein I now dwell and the freehold and copyhold land thereto adjoining unto and to the use of the said son Frederick John Hawkes Reeves his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and as to all my monies in the government funds East India stock mortgages debts bond debts policies of assurances and securities of whatever description and all other my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore bequeathed I give and bequeath the same unto my said son Frederick John Hawkes Reeves and Sir George Gerard de Hochepries Larpent Baronet their executors administrators and assigns upon the several trusts nevertheless and to and for the several ends intents and purposes hereinafter expressed and declared of and concerning the same (that is to say) upon trust to call in and convert unto money all ouch? part of my residuary personal estate as shall not consist of money in the government funds or East India stock and to stand possessed of the same when received upon trust in the first place to pay and satisfy all such of my just debts as may be payable at my decease together with my funeral and testamentary expences also all such costs and expences as my said trustees or trustee shall have sustained acquired been at or been put unto in or about the execution of the trusts of this my will or any matter or thing relative thereto and after the payment thereof then upon trust by and out of the principal monies stocks funds and securities constituting my said residuary personal estate to raise and pay such of my bond debts as may be due to the trustees of the settlements made on the marriage of either of my daughters and not discharged in my life time and also to raise and pay unto or for the use of my son Henry Wilson Reeves the legacy or sum of six thousand pounds but subject nevertheless to the previous deduction therefrom of such sum or sums of money as my said son Henry Wilson Reeves shall or may then owe to the estate of the late Sir Francis Molyeux Anmanney not exceeding the sum of one thousand pounds and also to raise and pay unto or for the use of my son George Ommanney Reeves the legacy or sum of six thousand pounds but subject nevertheless to the previous deduction therefrom of such sum or sums of money as my said son George Ommanney Reeves may then owe unto the said Sir George Gerard or Horchepied Larpent not exceeding five hundred pounds and subject to and after the payment of the said debts nd legacies last mentioned then upon trust to pay assign and transfer the whole of my ultimate residuary personal estate and the stocks funds and securities whereupon the same may be invested unto my said son Frederick John Hawkes Reeves his executors administrators and assigns absolutely and my will is that my said trustees and executors shall require only such statement or proof of the amount of the respective debts or sums of money which may be due and owing to the representatives of the said Sir Francis Molyneux Ommanney and to the said Sir George Gerard ? Hochepries Larpent as my executors shall in their discretion deem sufficient and that they duly see to the payment of the said debts either out of the said legacies or previously to the payment of the said legacies I give and devise all freehold and copyhold messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever vested in me as a trustee or mortgagee with their appurtenances unto and to the use of the said Frederick John Hawkes Reeves and Sir George Gerard de Hochepries Larpent their heirs and assigns for ever but subject to the same trusts and equity of redemption as I hold the same subject to and so that all monies thereby secured to me beneficially may constitute part of my personal estate and I declare that the receipt in writing of the trustees or trustee for the time being under this my will their or his executors or administrators for any moneys payable to them or him pursuant to this my will shall be a sufficient acquittance to the persons paying the same for the sum or sums of money therein respectively acknowledged to be received provided always and my will is that the trustees or trustee for the time being of this my will shall have full power and authority at their discretion either to enforce the immediate payment of any bond or other debts due to me at the time of my decease or to forbear pressing the payment thereof according to their discretion without being liable or responsible for the ultimate result of any loss arising or happening on any such debt or debts not doubting that they will do what shall be thought most advantageous for those interested in my residuary estate and I do herein declare that the trustees hereby nominated and each of them their and each and every of their executors and administrators shall be chargeable only with or for such sums of money as they or he respectively shall actually receive or but for their or his respective wilful default might receive by virtue of or under this my will or the trusts aforesaid and that any one or more of them shall not be answerable or accountable for the others or other of them but each of them for only his own acts receipts neglects or wilful defaults and that they or any of them shall not be answerable or accountable for any banker broker or other person with whom or in whose hands any of the said trust monies shall be deposited or lodged for safe custody or other purpose pursuant to this my will nor for any misfortune loss accident or damage which shall happen in the execution of the said several trusts or in relation thereto (except the same shall happen by or through his or their respective wilful default) and also that the said trustees and each and every of them their and every of their heirs executors and administrators shall and lawfully may by with and out of the trust monies which shall come to their or his respective hands by virtue of or under this my will or the trusts aforesaid retain unto pay and reimburse themselves and himself respectively and pay and allow to their or his cotrustee or cotrustees all losses costs damages and expences which they or he shall sustain pay incur or be put unto or which shall be to them have or any of them occasioned for or on account or by means of the trusts hereby in them reposed or in the management or execution thereof or otherwise howsoever relating thereto and I do appoint my said son Frederick John Hawkes Reeves and the said Sir George Gerard de Hochepies Larpent executors of my said will and hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this only to be and contain my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said Frederick Reeves have to this my last will and testament and to a duplicate hereof each contained in four sheets of paper set my hand and seal in manner following that is to say my hand to the first three sheets an my hand and seal to the fourth and last sheet of each part thereof this fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two.

Proved at London 21st Novr 1842 before the worshipful Robert Joseph Phillimon Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oaths of the Reverend Frederick John Hawkes Reeves the son and Sir George Gerard de Hochepies Larpent Baronet the executors to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.
