Reeves Y-DNA Project Updates - October 2016

On Monday 31 October the DNA Project admins made a number of updates within the Family Tree DNA website. Since the previous announcement of updates made in mid June 2016, there have been the following additions to existing groups...
        Kit 410950 for B. P. 'Doc' Reeves added to DNA Group 03
        Kit 500300 for William S Reeve added to DNA Group 05
        Kit B81285 for Timothy Reeves added to DNA Group 10
        Kit B95083 for Stephen Reeves added to DNA Group 10

We have also seen the following new kits added to the unmatched group (Group 0).
        296606, 383317, 439504, 471551, 485637, 487737, 505867, B61170, B104212 and M10831

Group 6 which was large and diverse has been sub-divided into Groups 6A, 6B, 6C and 6D. These individuals all matched at the 12 marker level but overall lack enough matching markers to be closely related so the large DNA Group 6 was divided to group only those individuals who are more closely matched within each group. The creation of Group 6A was previously announced as part of the updates made in mid June 2016.

New Group 6B has been created comprising the following kits
        50341, 75573, 77786, 96859 and 352584

New Group 6C has been created comprising the following kits
        21487, 59203, 66690, 129011 and 141274

New Group 6D has been created comprising the following kits
        86344 and 87479

We've also been reviewing the kits comprising Groups 5 and 17 and have come to the conclusion that they actually belong in a singe DNA group. Consequently kits
        183767 and 332332
have been transferred to existing Group 5 where they join kits 28591, 41599, 50501, 99502, 242827, 500300 and N11228.
DNA Group 17 has now be retired.
