Abraham is mentioned in the will of his father Andrew Reeve of Langford. Entries in the Langford Parish Register indicate he lived in Maldon, St. Peters. Two of his children's baptisms show up in Maldon, St. Peters.

The son Jordan Reeve appears to be a rather unique name in Essex and the area. The parish register locates him in Bures, St. Mary in Suffolk, which borders the north of Essex. In 1734, the will of Jordan Harris of Horkesley, Essex mentions a "wood called Brockleford Wood in Ardleigh to grandson Jordan Reeve, son of daughter Dame Anne Reeve, widow." Ardleigh is just south of Dedham Parish where the baptisms of Jordan's children are found. His eldest children were named Abraham and Ann which supports him being the son of this Abraham.
