Daniel appears on a list of freeholders in Suffolk County in 1737.
Daniel is referred to in a deed from his son Daniel, at the time of Goshen in Orange County, to his brother James, dated 23 Apr 1762. It states that " James Reeve late late of Southold deceased and grandfather of him the sd Daniel Reeve did in his last will and testament give unto give unto his son Daniel Reeve deceased...the sd Daniel Reeve son of the sd Daniel Reeve"
Another deed executed the same day from the son Daniel doesn't mention his father, but deals with more land that had been inherited from his grandfather James Reeve, father to this Daniel.
After Daniel's death, widow Experience Reeve remarried to Joshua Brown as recorded in Salmon Records:

When their son Daniel sold some land to James Reeve, the deed states that "we Joshua Brown & Experience his wife resign to sd James Reeve her right of dower."
