Children of David Reeve and Zerviah/Zeruiah Hunter:- David Reeve
- Joshua Reeve, b. c1720, d. 25 May 1749
David is mentioned in the will of his father Joseph Reeve and in Joseph's household in the 1698 Southold Census. The Study of the Reeve family notes that he and his brother Hezekiah were in the Southold Militia in 1715 in the same company in which their brother Benjamin was an ensign.
David is listed as part of the Southold Company #1 in the Suffolk Militia in 1715.
According to The Salmon Records, he married Suruiah Hunter on 1 (or 12) Mar 1715/6.
David appears on a list of freeholders in Suffolk County in 1737.
David was still of Southold in 1740 when he sold some land to a number of tracts of land in the so called "Indian Lots" to various individuals. This deed is included in the Terry manuscripts.
David apparently moved to New Jersey where his will was recorded in Salem County. His wife Zerviah Reeve (d. 15 Nov 1747, age 54) and their son Joshua (d. 25 May 1749, age 29) are buried in the Greenwich Cemetery in Cumberland County.
David made his will a couple years after his son's death. He mentions his son David, grandson Joshua, daughter-in-law Bethany/Perthany, granddaughter Mary daughter of David, and Elizabeth daughter of Joshua.
