Children of Isaiah Reeve:
  1. Silas Reeve, b. c10 Apr 1765
  2. Abigail Reeve
  3. Elizabeth Reeve
  4. Mehitable Reeve, b. c12 Jan 1773
  5. Julianna Reeve

This would appear to be Isaiah Reeve whose two infant sons died in 1756 according to the Salmon records:
  • 1756 Feb 16 Isaiah Reeve 2 infant sons

Isaiah Reeve was listed in the Manor of St George & Patent of Moriches in the 1776 census of Suffolk County. That location covers the same areas as Brookhaven.

Isaiah Reeve of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, New York wrote his will on 15 Dec 1795 and it was probated on 29 Jun 1796. He mentions children Silas Reeve, Abigail Post, Elizabeth Homan, Mahitable Bishop, and Julianer Reeve. He also mentions grandchildren Charles and Joel Reeve, sons of Silas, and granddaughters Abigail, Catharine, Elizabeth and Marah (Maria) Homan, presumably daughters of Elizabeth Homan. Son Silas was one of the executors.

Research Notes

The Study of the Reeve Family by Wesley Baker surmised that this may be another son of Solomon Reeve and Sarah Ramsey.

Isaiah may have had a son named Obadiah whom he failed to mention in his will. Isaiah's daughter Abigail Post was a witness to Obadiah's will and her husband James was an executor.
