Although the rest of his siblings were baptized at Gosfield, his is registered at Great Leighs with date 4 Oct 1601, which is just south of Gosfield. His mother's family were from this area, so this is reasonable.

Jeremy appears to have been involved in the Puritan movement as he signed the Protestation from Childerditch in 1641.

The will of his brother-in-law Thomas Fitch mentions "my brothers John Reeve and William Stacy...and my brother Jeremy Reeve."
