Richard Reeve of Finchingfield, Essex wrote his will in 1642 and it was probated 24 Apr 1646. He mentions his wife Dorothie and mentions his sons: "Joseph Reeve my eldest," "Giles Reeve my second sone," "John Reeve my third sonne," and "Thomas Reeve my youngest sonne." He mentions Finchingfield as "whence I have lived for many yeares past."

From Finchingfield, St John the Baptist, Essex Parish Register:

• 1619. April 13. Thomas Reave sonn of Richard Reave Gent & Dorothie

The available Finchingfield parish registers begin in 1617 so it's likely Joseph, Giles, and John were born prior to that. Giles states in his will that he was born in Finchingfield so we would expect to find his baptism there.
