Benjamin and Abigail had moved to Philadelphia by 1813 when they sold some land to Biddle Reeves. In 1818, another deed states they were of Camden County, New Jersey.
Benjamin and Abigail were living in Philadelphia in 1839 when they, along with Benjamin's siblings, sold land that had belonged to his brother John.
His Philadelphia Death Certificate states he died of Pulmonary Consumption and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

On the 1st inst., BENJAMIN REEVES, late of the firm of Reeves & Whitaker, in the 65th year of his age.
His friends, and those of his son-in-law, Dr. Wm. D. Brinckle, are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, from his late residence, No. 327 Chestnut street, on Thursday morning, at 11 o'clock. Funeral to proceed to Laurel Hill Cemetery.
A deed from 1850 describes land which had descended from his brother John's deceased heirs to Benjamin's children. These are named as Kezia M. Donelly wife of Joseph A. Donelly, Abby C. Prevost, Elizabeth B. Brinckle wife of Dr. William D. Brinckle, Emily Russel wife of George P. Russel and Mary Reeves, all of Philadelphia.
