The children's births/baptisms are from Salem, Massachusetts Vital Records (Ancestry). The 1719 will of William Reeves from Essex County, Massachusetts names his son Cockerill Reeves.

Marriage records spell name Cockeril(l).

Ancestry lists a probate date of 11 Feb 1757 for him from Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, although he died intestate.

Among the probate papers of Salem for various Reeves is the following:
Salem, Feb the 1 1758
Received of Saml Reves Administrator of the Late Cokrel Reeves .... seven pound two shilings in full of my part of the parsinell estate - Benja Reeves

Another marked the inventory for Cockrell Reeves dated 18 Apr 1757.

In one 1757 Essex County Deed, the heirs of Cockeril Reeves are named as "Samuel Reeves of Medford in the County of Middlesex Heelmaker William Reeves and Benjamin Reeves Heelmakers both of Salem in the County of Essex Jacob Reeves of Roxbury in the County of Middlesex aforesaid Heelmaker Nathaniel Reeves of said Salem Housewright Elizabeth Hollman of said Salem widow Richard Palmer of said Salem shoreman and Mary his wife Joseph Clough of salem Salem Blacksmith and Susannah his wife with the consent of their mother Elizabeth Reeves of said Salem widow." The deed them mentions "their late Father Cockeril Reeves of said Salem Heelmaker." Judith and John are not named and may have been deceased at the time. (DB 110, p223)

In one Essex County deed, "Elizabeth Holman of Salem in the County of Essex Widow" deeded land to Joseph Clough of Salem, Blacksmith that came from "the Settlement & Division of the Real Estate of my Late Father Cockeril Reeves late deceased known by number eight in said Division." It mentions lot number seven "assigned to my sister Susannah Clough" (DB 104, p206).

Cockeril had a grandson John Reeves who died around 1800. His father has yet to be identified.
