The will of his brother John Ryves refers to "Francis Rives of Horsebridge...my brethren."

The Visitations of 1686 mentions the following concerning him:

• Francis Ryves marr ye daughter of Humber & died without issue being 3d sonne

Francis "Reeves" of Horsebridge in Kings Somborne wrote his will on 5 Apr 1636 and it was proved 11 May 1639. He mentions his wife Agnes Reeves and all the "heyres of the Humbers." This would be his wife's family according to the Visitations.
